I simply can not believe I am writing this post. A month or two ago I posted a photo on my prior blog that summed up the financial crisis. Now I get the dubious pleasure of posting a photo that demonstrates just how F’k'd up our system is. This photo comes to us courtesy of Paul Kedrosky’s site:

Let’s see, we have a bond issue (they need $1.4B of short-term financing) and, oh, BTW, our GOVERNOR was arrested and taken into federal custody. And, um, he and his chief staff are charged with

da da da da conspiracy da da da da mail & wire fraud da da da da solictation of bribery da da da da tried to sell a senate seat da da do do what are we to do??????

I’ve launched two sites: http://legistraight.org and http://magistraight.org (actually two faces of one site.) These sites comprise a platform where real-world problems are solved by real people. Legistraight has a fairly extensive set of resources about the financial crisis but the interface and feature set of both sites are in development. But since it is a wiki (using the same technology as Wikipedia) anyone with basic knowledge of Wikitext can jump in and get started…

Please don’t make me plead - we need to jump on this - it is getting worse. Be part of the solution. Get involved. Thanks.
